Helping Hands

While I wasn't looking, a new doorway suddenly sprang open by way of a wonderful, enthusiastic Texas girl named Tracy. She's is bursting and blooming with all kinds of fantastic ideas! She's started a website (link below) called Bodacious Possibilities - what a succulent name!

Where do I come in? She's invited me to partner with her (by referrals to each others websites) to help people to live their Creative Dreams. I'll be the coach, helping people clarify what exactly they WANT out of this one precious life, and she'll be the one providing the resources to getting what you need to live it. (She is AMAZINGLY resourceful.)

This brings me to thoughts about "helping hands" - I'm reading a book right now about Amish people and how they all get together to raise a barn in just one day. I don't think humans are meant to do things alone - we're meant to reach out and ask for help with things that we don't know or can't do on our own. The beauty is - there is always SOMEONE out there to assist with whatever it is we need help with.

Life Path

Holy wow - it's been since JANUARY since I last wrote in here?

Well, I've been busy! I've come to the realization that everything I've ever dreamed of is right here, right now. I'm honouring my most important values every single day and it's making my life really gorgeously full.

When I first started with MY coach, she gave me an exercise. It was to determine my five top values and then rate, on a scale of 1 - 10, how I was living them. That exercise has been one of the most valuable tools in my personal toolkit. By using it I determine my own personal path. I check in with myself every now and again to see if I'm still on the path and make adjustments when I'm not. That is, am I living life according to my values and feeling good about it? If I answer yes - all's well, if I answer no then what action must I take that leads me back on the path? Simple right?

Anyway, check in with yourself sometime and see where you are on your own path! And send me an e-mail if you need further guidance with this concept.

Today's insight:
If you wander off the path, don't worry or be afraid, just find your way back - your heart will lead you.

More on thinking...

It's a brand new year and already I am in the process of a new leap in learning and understanding just how important the things we think - about ourselves and others and the world in general are. Ok, not just important, what we think is everything. It dictates how we perceive, how we judge, how we feel, how we act - how we create our private universe. That thought made me just STOP in my tracks.

In this blog I organize my thoughts to get across a message. Here's what it looks like when I DON'T organize them:

"I have nothing to say, my thoughts are boring i wish i had more energy it's so quiet I don't feel so good when will this cold go away?"

Wow huh? You thought it was going to be something profound didn't you? hahaha That would involve CONSCIOUS thought. What the heck is my point here? I guess what I'm saying is - you can CONSCIOUSLY think "I am going to do this or be that" but if your unconcious thoughts are undermining your conscious thoughts then what you want to create will not appear as you dreamed it would.

If you think you can, you can. If you think you can't, you can't. ~ Henry Ford

The Gifting Season

It's that time of year again and it's so easy to become disillusioned isn't it? What with the rampant commercialism and all the suffering in the world. It seems obscene. So I started thinking about what the gifting season is truly ABOUT. Yes, it has been designated as Christ's birth and the Bible talks about 3 wise men bearing gifts but the reason for the season started loonnnng before that. In pagan times, the winter solstice was celebrated as an end to the dark days and the coming of the light. Gifts were offered to the gods in thanks. That's the history anyway.

For me, it's irrelevant in the NOW where it started and when. The gifting season, for me, is about L O V E. If I choose the gifts I give with thoughtfulness about the person to whom I'm giving the gift, then is it about me expressing my love for that person - whether it is reciprocated or not. It's not necessary for the gifts to be material at all. It could be something I made, or time spent helping someone else - like maybe babysitting for someone so they could go to a holiday party. My expression of love is all that matters. Through that expression, I create loving thoughts in myself and then others. And so on, and so on.

So if you're tempted to think un-loving thoughts about the state of the world, or the greed of the corporate machine, think again. What are you adding to the collective web of thought by doing so? And how does that create loving thoughts IN you?

Today's Thought
Remember that YOU are the gift you give to others - always.
